About The Position

Requirements

  • Positive and proactive attitude towards guest service and overall guest experience.
  • Experience in group/corporate event execution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, senior leadership, members, guests, vendors, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and the Internet.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with sound judgment consistent with Oki Golf's core values.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Started PGM program with PGA and/or progressing towards PGA membership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in merchandising and sales in a golf shop environment.
  • Knowledge of golf programs and services offered by Oki Golf.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice pertaining to the game and equipment to guests and members.
  • Control and manage daily tee sheets and play; ensure efficient guest check-in and fee collection.
  • Provide instruction to members and guests including individual lessons, clinics, and player development programs.
  • Assist in managing and executing internal and external golf events to ensure they run efficiently and professionally.
  • Use all golf shop-related systems efficiently.
  • Assist in the management of the golf cart fleet including maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Implement and adhere to Oki Golf universal standards on a daily basis.
  • Understand and embody Oki Golf's definition of guest service.
  • Directly supervise staff, including planning, assigning, and performing activities by team members.
  • Assist in staffing the golf operation including recruiting, hiring, and training of staff.
  • Encourage, mentor, coach, train, and develop team members to maximize their value to Oki Golf.
  • Hold team members accountable for their areas of responsibility.
  • Lead by example and set performance benchmarks for the department.
  • Supervise and assist in merchandising including receiving, displaying, and promoting golf shop sales.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all Oki Golf programs and effectively educate and sell to guests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards guest service and experience.
