About The Position

As an Assistant General Manager at Flix Brewhouse, you will have the opportunity to create exceptional experiences for our guests by supporting the GM in leading and managing all aspects of the business, including the front of house, heart of house, and brewery. Your responsibilities will include managing food processes, projection procedures, inventory, ordering, and optimizing profits and guest satisfaction. You will also assist in the development and engagement of the leadership team. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting the GM in managing daily operations including food processes, projection procedures, equipment, development and performance of team members. In addition, the AGM assists the GM by conducting inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimization of profits and satisfaction of guests. The AGM also assists the GM with financial and operational performance of the unit, as well as complete satisfaction of guests. Job Purpose: To ensure guest satisfaction is delivered by management and team members providing genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.

Requirements

  • Certified in food handling and alcohol service requirements, such as Serve Safe
  • Extensive experience working in the restaurant industry
  • Strong leader with the ability to inspire and foster the growth of emerging talent within your team
  • Solid understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Able to effectively manage labor to facilitate a low turnover rate among team members
  • Proactive, innovative, and timely in all daily work
  • Ability to predict and manage COGs to keep operating costs in line with a budget
  • Ability to support and empathize with guests when responding to feedback
  • Expected to work a minimum of 50 hour work weeks
  • Ability to drive the entire operation to success.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Professional communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, develop staff and mentor management and hourly team.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

  • Responsible for designated schedules assigned by the General Manager.
  • Ensures proper security procedures, safe working and guest environment.
  • Provides direction to team members regarding operational and procedural issues.
  • Displays a pro-active an innovative approach to skills development and standards with your team.
  • Ensures restaurant food quality through completion of line checks.
  • Able to act with initiative in planning for the future and possible consequences.
  • Pro-active in getting things done and exceeding expectations of both guests and team members.
  • Develops interactive guest relations and awareness of any possible future requirements. Relays such information and ideas to the General Manager for the enhancement of the guest expectation.
  • Sets a good example of the company dress code and appearance standards, ensuring that your team fully complies with all expectations.
  • Enforces all alcohol and food licensing and regulations.
  • Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of cinema.
  • Hire, develop and nurture employee talent to reduce turnover.
  • Understand and report Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims using proper procedures.
  • Work closely with the management team to identify and develop team members for future leadership roles.
  • Ensure the highest level of hourly team member training and validation of team member knowledge.
