About The Position

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of daily operations, including team leadership, financial performance, guest service, and compliance. The AGM plays a key role in executing company standards, developing talent, and maintaining a culture of accountability and engagement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams and supervisors
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including labor, inventory, and cost control
  • Ability to drive guest service excellence and resolve escalated guest concerns
  • Experience with hiring, training, and performance management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food safety certification and alcohol service knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
  • Lead by example in delivering best-in-class guest service and creating a positive team environment
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to meet performance and service expectations
  • Monitor labor, sales, and operational metrics to drive business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and airport regulations
  • Address and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Partner with the General Manager on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and brand presentation
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Warmly greets, acknowledges, and takes guests drink and food order within 30 seconds of them entering the concept.
  • Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system.
  • Handles money, processes credit and debit card, makes change, while complying with the company’s Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products. Make recommendations to guests to fit their needs, especially when questioned about potential food allergens.
  • Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
