About The Position

Do you know property management inside and out? Love helping residents while keeping the numbers in check? We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Assistant General Manager to join our team at Roosevelt Square and help lead day-to-day operations at one of our garden-style communities. You’ll be the go-to person for residents, help keep the office running smoothly, and work side-by-side with the Community Manager to create a place people are proud to call home.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in property management or as an Assistant Community Manager
  • Strong knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and property regulations
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, especially with billing and reporting
  • Proficient in property management software (Yardi, OneSite, or similar)
  • Strong time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • A team mindset and a solutions-first attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of resident relations—from onboarding to move-out
  • Respond to resident concerns and follow up on service requests
  • Lead a smooth and welcoming move-in process with strong attention to detail
  • Manage the leasing office: order supplies, support leasing team, and assist with marketing
  • Oversee resident billing and ledger accuracy
  • Follow up on delinquencies, process legal notices, and manage collections
  • Assist with budget tracking, reporting, and invoice processing
  • Process write-offs, evictions, and financial documentation in line with policy
  • Partner with the Community Manager to onboard and support leasing team members
  • Jump in to assist with tours or leasing tasks when needed
  • Help manage community promotions and local business partnerships
  • Share ideas to boost performance and improve systems
  • Stay current on local, state, and federal housing laws
  • Track lease violations and handle resident documentation
  • Ensure accuracy in all resident files and system records
  • Support audit readiness and assist with affordable housing compliance (if applicable)
