About The Position

What Makes a Assistant General Manager? As a key player in the property leadership team, the Assistant General Manager partners closely with the General Manager to steer and elevate the property's operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager embodies the highest standards of ethical leadership, driving the property towards its business goals with passion and integrity. A Day in the Life: Operational Excellence: You'll assist in managing the property's operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, brand quality assurance, budget management, and labor efficiency. Training and Development: You'll train associates on brand and company standards, maximizing revenue and fostering a culture of superior service. Compliance and Innovation: You'll ensure compliance with brand and company standards, staying updated on new initiatives. Safety and Security: You'll inspect and oversee adherence to safety and security standards, creating a safe environment for guests and staff. Guest Experience: You'll support guest satisfaction across all operations, making every stay memorable. Team Collaboration: You'll work closely with corporate teams in Human Resources, Accounting, Revenue Management, and Sales to achieve property and company goals.

Requirements

  • Experience: Preferably with major hotel brands like Marriott.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team in delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local and state compliance laws.
  • Procedural Implementation: Ability to implement procedures related to cost control and inventory management.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure consistent adherence to hotel policies and brand standards.
