About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in leading daily operations, driving membership growth, and delivering the D1 customer experience. The AGM is hands-on in sales, staff support, and member engagement, serving as a role model for coaches and front desk staff while ensuring every athlete receives a world-class experience. D1 Coaches implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout. They exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts, in order to tailor them to each athlete. They take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining regular contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals. D1 Coaches are a part of the best training environment in the industry and are integral to the success of D1 as it continues its rapid growth.

Requirements

• Associate Degree
• 3 years of management experience
• Ability to out-sell anyone in the room
• Knowledge of gym and retail operations
• Positive and energetic personality with a 'can do' attitude
• Strong leadership skills, being the first one in and the last one to leave.

Responsibilities

• Assist the GM in achieving membership sales and retention goals.
• Lead by example in front desk operations: setting up memberships, processing payments, and handling member inquiries.
• Support staff scheduling, training, and accountability to ensure operational excellence.
• Conduct member progress check-ins and ensure athletes feel supported in their goals.
• Provide leadership presence during peak hours, events, and community engagement activities.
• Help monitor facility performance metrics, including sales, attendance, and customer satisfaction.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the GM’s absence to ensure seamless operations.
