About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at The Grill, East Bank Club, is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional member experiences, and maintaining high-quality service standards. The AGM manages front-of-house components, leads staff training, and acts as the General Manager in their absence, focusing on staff morale and performance while addressing member needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the restaurant industry.
• Experience in training others in front-of-house policies and procedures.
• Ability to provide exemplary guest care and hospitality.
• Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in organizing work, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in developing goals, objectives, and work standards for the front-of-house department.
• Excellent operational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work 45+ hours a week when necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on feet for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Silverware and cost-of-sales management.
• Ability to respond well to feedback and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of The Grill, sundeck, and Juicebar.
• Ensure exceptional member experiences and high-quality service standards.
• Delegate tasks to staff to improve member experience.
• Monitor staff morale and performance, ensuring good execution of service.
• Lead training for front-of-house staff and promote continuing education.
• Act as General Manager in their absence, performing necessary duties.
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with members.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally and represent East Bank Club.
• Develop and maintain department control and cash handling procedures.
• Manage staff schedules and payroll, ensuring compliance with standards.
