About The Position

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Assistant General Counsel V - Q80E - $110,000.00 Per year + Full State Employee Benefits Travel is Occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. Minimum Qualifications: Education and experience requirements at this level consist of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and an active membership of the Oklahoma Bar Association plus a minimum of nine (9) years of legal experience, including a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position. No substitutions will be allowed for active membership in the State Bar of Oklahoma. Job Responsibilities: This attorney position provides representation and counsel to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, with primary responsibility in the following two areas: Representation and counsel to the Adult Protective Services division, including filing and representation in district court guardianship proceedings filed with respect to vulnerable adults. Provide legal counsel and representation to the Department of Human Services’ Developmental Disabilities Services division, including matters related to criminal competency of defendants alleged or found to be incompetent to stand trial due to intellectual disability, which creates statutory duties for the Department. Requirements
