About The Position

The Assistant Front Office Manager assists with all duties including supporting Front Desk and Valet team members in their success and growth. Partnering with day-to-day hotel operations, they ensure the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction. This is a full-time salaried position - $40,000 DOE

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry, hotel experience preferred
  • Demonstrates hospitality, comfortable conversing and resolving challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets company policy
  • Ability to lift, carry and manipulate various items (ex: luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with supervision and scheduling of all Front Office employees
  • Ensures all Front Office staff are trained and confident in all operations and procedures, provides thoughtful, and personalized ongoing training
  • Understands all hotel emergency controls and procedures, responds appropriately and assumes supervisory role in any hotel emergency or safety situation as needed
  • Identifies and recommends solutions to Front Office team members and Front Office Manager to further employee development, drive revenue, and improve hotel processes
  • Acts as a point of reference for guests who need assistance, resolves guest concerns and complaints efficiently and courteously and/or correctly refers issues to upper management
  • Sets a positive example for coworker and guest relations, empowers team members through feedback, recognition, service, and empathy
  • Learns competency with hotel function and relationship with Chandler’s; supports other departments as needed.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with all hotel departments as well as Chandlers restaurant
  • Assists in ordering, and monthly inventory of gift shop items and Front Office supplies
  • Performs and assists with other duties as assigned
