Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Forward Planner for their Operations Department. The right candidate will be responsible for carrying out all company-wide and departmental policies, procedures and programs approved by management, while ensuring efficient operations of the company’s Forward Planning Department. Will also assist the Forward Planners with their duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with architectural and structural consultants to ensure timely and compliant model submittals and model home permits
  • Assist Forward Planners with responding to staff reports and all conditions of approval and coordinate a timely re-submittal
  • Work with the architect and landscape architect to generate accurate plans for conditional use permit submittals, including sales trailers, model home and sales offices
  • Coordinate with: Consultants for the design, submittal and approval of recreation areas, pool buildings and pool ensuring completion with model home openings
  • Utility consultants to ensure accurate information is set up and transferred to HOAs for maintenance.
  • Cities and counties ensuring address approval
  • Civil and soils engineer to ensure pad certification occurs in a timely fashion
  • Assist with: Perimeter wall and retaining wall submittals and approval
  • Review and management of all master developer fees and credits
  • Budget reviews and/or adjustments
  • Facilitate mailbox setup throughout the project
  • Sit on HOA board meetings monthly
  • Oversee permit process, schedule timelines and adjustments
