The Assistant Formulation Operator is the front-line employee who performs manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the final product. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the operator job family. Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting to the department supervisor, the Production Assistant will: Safely and effectively operates and controls equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit. Maintains and monitors process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes. Maintains and improves safety in the unit and is responsible for housekeeping in operating areas. Receives and processes raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level. Supports and adheres to the principles of Responsible care and applicable requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety, and security of our employees, vendors, customers, suppliers, and our community. Performs additional work as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Assists in the formulation of agricultural chemicals, including fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Facilitates the chemical process, including adding reactants to raw materials and overseeing all steps of the reactions. Makes necessary adjustments to equipment Uses forklifts to move drums, totes, and pallets Meet quality standards without delaying production Maintains a clean and safe workplace
