About The Position

The Assistant Football Coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining a successful football program. This position involves coaching, recruiting, and ensuring the academic success of student-athletes, while adhering to university and NCAA regulations. The coach will work closely with the Head Football Coach and Offensive Coordinator, contributing to the overall integrity and competitiveness of the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; skills, knowledge, and experience required for successful coaching.
  • Coaching experience at one or more NCAA institutions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a successful football program that reflects quality, integrity, character, and competitiveness.
  • Comply with all University, GAC, and NCAA rules/policies.
  • Recruit and coach student-athletes.
  • Promote and monitor academic success of student-athletes.
  • Assist in the supervision of practices.
  • Assist in the development of game plans.
  • Assist in leading the football program to reflect high standards of integrity and promote student-athlete success on and off the field.
  • Perform other duties related to the overall success of the football program as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Defensive Coordinator, or Director of Athletics.
