About The Position

The responsibilities of the Assistant Football Coach, Equipment Manager in the Athletic Department include working closely with the Head Coach to develop and coach an NCAA Division III athletic football program. Work with the head coach to develop clear and attainable expectations for the team based on team culture and philosophy. Actively ensure compliance with all Endicott and NCAA rules and regulations; participate in establishing goals and objectives for each season; preparation of players for practices and games, assist in the monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes, and play an active role in the recruiting process. Design and provide instruction on individual and team skills and physical health and safety to student athletes. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Endicott policies and procedures
  • Significant knowledge and passion for recruiting database systems and digital editing systems
  • Must possess a commitment to diversifying the football program
  • Experience in coaching or teaching; scheduling and supervising activities

Responsibilities

  • Coach and instruct student-athletes on the techniques and responsibilities of the position assigned.
  • Continue to assist the Head coach in building the Endicott Football Culture so that the athletes are better men when they graduate.
  • Represent Endicott and the football program with character and integrity while serving as a positive role model within the Community.
  • Recruit student-athletes that blend the academic profile of Endicott with the expectations and standards of a top caliber student-athlete
  • Recruit premier student-athletes into this program.
  • Monitor and meet with student-athletes with academics and accountability.
  • Worked with admissions and co workers to secure over 30-40 student-athletes.
  • Responsibility with Equipment and Laundry as well as assisting in the athletic department with other duties as assigned.
  • Help in any way to make the equipment and laundry experience better for all involved student workers and team managers
  • Supervise and manage multiple students and managers over the fall and spring seasons.
  • Initiates purchasing process for game and practice equipment for the football team and varsity teams as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned will be expected in contest management.
  • Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings.
  • Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
