About The Position

The Ruidoso Municipal School District is seeking an Assistant Football Coach for Ruidoso Middle School for the 2025-2026 football season. The position involves assisting the head football coach and requires a strong commitment to working collaboratively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the rules and regulations of football and the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; licensed instructor preferred.
• Valid New Mexico Coaching licensure or eligibility.
• Attain NMAA Coaching Certifications.
• Demonstrate a willingness to work in a cooperative working environment.
• Strong reading, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Preference given to certified staff.
• CDL is preferred, or willingness to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head football coach in all aspects of the football program.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the rules and regulations of football.
• Work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Collaborate productively as part of a coaching team.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate team needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
