About The Position

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Hyatt Regency Baytown is responsible for supporting and overseeing the operational departments within the hotel, focusing on the Outlets, Banquets, and other Food and Beverage areas. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, colleague training and development, and operational support across various hotel functions. The position requires acting as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the department head and ensuring efficient service and meaningful experiences for guests.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years in Food & Beverage Management preferred, or completion of Corporate Management Training Program equivalent.
• Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment is preferred.
• Experience with Hotel/Restaurant Operating Systems, such as Micros, HotSOS, Opera, etc.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
• Previous training experience in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee operational departments within the hotel, including Outlets, Banquets, and Food and Beverage departments.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and colleague training and development.
• Manage scheduling and payroll for the department.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the department head.
• Support hotel operations, including Front Office and Housekeeping.
