About The Position

Primary Function Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in operating GHSR Food Services as a safe, healthy, customer oriented GHSR profit center that is a desirable place for our employees to work and our guests to dine Reporting and Accountability The Assistant Food and Beverage Restaurant Manager reports to, and is accountable to the Food & Beverage Manager. The Assistant Food and Beverage Restaurant Manager represents the authority of the Food and Beverage Department when functioning as “the manager on duty.” The assistant manager has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities of the Food and beverage department, as delegated by the manager. Physical Requirements Adequate physical agility to perform the physical tasks required to operate the Food and Beverage Department Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to read and give instructions Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to twist, bend, climb, stoop kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to reach and crawl. Educational Requirements High School diploma, or equivalent Other Requirements At least two years experience in restaurant/food service management, including ability to perform all Food and Beverage Department tasks proficiently Leadership and people management skills Bottom line, guest satisfaction and profit oriented, “get it done” attitude Broad knowledge of all Food and Beverage Department management, administrative and operational responsibilities and tasks, and Food and Beverage Department utensils and equipment Computer software including Microsoft Office and cash handling skills Hours and Days The Restaurant Assistant Manager’s work hours and days are variable and must be adaptable to seasonal and other variations in Food and Beverage Department hours, business levels, and available Food and Beverage Department staffing levels. The hours will include weekends holidays and evenings. The Assistant is expected to work opposite shift as much as possible as the Department Head. Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • At least two years experience in restaurant/food service management, including ability to perform all Food and Beverage Department tasks proficiently
