About The Position

We are currently seeking a driven, service-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Manager (Banquets) to help lead our banquet operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of progressive Food & Beverage or Banquet experience in a hotel or similar environment
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of banquet service styles and standards
  • Understanding of food safety, liquor laws, and health regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Guest-first mindset with a passion for hospitality
  • Professional, polished, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring strong stamina and focus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown
  • Supervise and lead banquet staff to ensure exceptional service standards
  • Ensure all events are executed efficiently and according to client expectations
  • Monitor service quality and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen, catering, and other departments for seamless event execution
  • Maintain accurate event details, staffing plans, and communication with the team
  • Assist in scheduling, payroll, and tip distribution
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory, equipment, and supply needs; submit requisitions as needed
  • Support training, coaching, and performance management of banquet team members
  • Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) coverage as needed
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during events to ensure guest satisfaction
