About The Position

The Assistant Farm Operations Manager at United Ag LLC is responsible for supporting the Dairy Operations Manager in overseeing the daily activities of a commercial dairy operation. This role involves managing various aspects of farm operations, including feed and silage management, animal health, and staff management, to ensure efficient and effective farm practices.

Requirements

• Two years of livestock farm management experience.
• Experience with herd health and herd management.
• Proficiency in operating and repairing agricultural equipment.
• Experience in managing farm workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and overseeing daily operations activities for the commercial dairy operation.
• Manage feed and silage management and harvest processes.
• Oversee animal health and reproduction, including maternity and youngstock departments.
• Establish and implement farm protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
• Hire, train, motivate, and discipline farm staff as necessary.
• Collect and analyze daily and monthly data to evaluate operational performance.
