The Assistant Facilities Manager provides administrative and operational support to the Facilities Director and Facilities Manager or designee. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with administrative tasks necessary for the effective operation of the Facilities Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with scheduling, work order coordination, recordkeeping, purchasing and invoice tracking, reporting, communication with staff, vendors, and agencies occupying County facilities, and other administrative functions as assigned. The Assistant Facilities Manager may assist with oversight of Facilities and custodial staff only when directed by the Facilities Director or Facilities Manager and does not independently supervise staff. Limited field assistance may be provided as needed to support department operations. This position may assist with coordination of training for new employees and support continuity of operations during the Facilities Managers absence, as directed. Employee must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform duties with limited supervision. This position may require irregular hours, attendance at job-related meetings, participation in an on-call rotation, and off-hours call-outs for emergencies.
