HDR is looking for an Assitant Environmental Project Manager to support our Environmental Sciences and Planning Cross-Sector in the Southeast. The Assistant Environmental Project Manager would report within the Power Environmental Practice and be in close coordination with local leadership. This role would work closely with our Resources Business Group (RBG), which focuses on power, renewable energy, waste, and industrial projects, and the Renewable Energy Practice. Candidates should be team-oriented with excellent communication skills capable of leading environmental planning, permitting, siting, and/or compliance projects. They must be knowledgeable in current federal and state environmental planning and regulations, including preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation. They would work with environmental leads in surrounding areas to staff and execute projects that include, but are not limited to, renewable energy and linear facilities (e.g., transmission line) across the Southeast. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the preparation of NEPA environmental assessments or impact statements, including management and oversight of associated technical reports. Specific experience with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) NEPA requirements is highly desirable. This position also requires demonstrated experience in directing the technical and administrative aspects of environmental studies; coordinating schedules; providing technical QA; and problem resolution to complete projects on time and within budget. They should be familiar with management of scopes and budgets, including project management tools.
