Duties include assisting with all aspects of the City's emergency management programs - planning, developing, coordinating and directing comprehensive programs; updating the City's emergency operations plan; controlling emergency management and disaster relief operations and training activities; conducting emergency preparedness exercises; and serving as a key member on the Community Risk Reduction Team. Duties also include preparing warning and preparedness materials; writing and administering grants; making presentations to City officials, the media and the public; and activating the Emergency Operations Center when necessary.
