About The Position

Nurture, comfort, and guide little ones through their earliest milestones! Do you have a heart for caring for babies and supporting their earliest stages of growth? We’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Educator to join our Infant Room team. In this role, you’ll partner with the Lead Educator to provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive through love, play, and discovery.

Requirements

  • Loves caring for infants and understands their unique needs for growth, comfort, and security.
  • Has a warm, patient, and gentle approach to caregiving.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs and physically engage in caregiving routines (lifting, rocking, sitting on the floor, etc.).
  • Has or is willing to obtain up-to-date clearances, CPR/First Aid certification, and health assessment.
  • Is eager to continue learning through ongoing training and professional development.
  • A high school diploma or a GED certificate and 30 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field;
  • OR a high school diploma or a GED certificate, and 15 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of experience with children;
  • OR a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years experience working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Educator in planning and carrying out nurturing, developmentally appropriate activities for infants.
  • Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants throughout the day.
  • Foster early developmental skills through songs, stories, sensory play, and one-on-one interactions.
  • Maintain strong daily communication with families through notes, updates, and parent conferences.
  • Keep accurate records including attendance, lesson plans, and developmental milestones.
  • Supervise closely and interact with infants to ensure safety, well-being, and bonding at all times.
  • Help organize and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Step in with leadership support when the Lead Educator is unavailable.
