As an eCommerce Assistant Department Manager, you’ll support the daily operations of our fast‑growing online grocery program. You’ll coach and develop your team, ensure excellent order fulfillment, and help deliver a “just like you picked it” shopping experience for our customers. This position is perfect for someone with strong retail, eCommerce, or grocery operations experience looking to grow in a dynamic environment. This is a fully on‑site position and does not offer remote work.

  • Online grocery processes: order fulfillment, substitutions, slot management
  • Customer service best practices
  • Make independent, real‑time operational decisions
  • Solve problems quickly during peak business times
  • Motivate teams to achieve accuracy and performance goals
  • Lift 25–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Full‑time availability, including peak business periods
  • Commitment to maintaining accuracy, quality, and service standards
  • Comfortable working on the sales floor and responding to real‑time customer and operational needs

Responsibilities

  • Support daily eCommerce operations, ensuring accurate picking, high‑quality items, and on‑time order fulfillment.
  • Coach and train eCommerce Shoppers to maintain strong service, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Monitor performance metrics, staffing levels, and scheduling needs to meet service and labor goals.
  • Resolve customer concerns and process order adjustments professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure food safety compliance, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control.
  • Audit orders and substitutions to maintain excellent quality, freshness, and accuracy.
  • Maintain department organization and communication, keeping leadership informed during high‑volume periods.
