About The Position

IES Residential is seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Division Manager to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of our most exciting markets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver and strong communicator with a passion for operational excellence and team development. As the Assistant Division Manager, you will assist in the overall leadership and management of our Huntsville, AL operations. Working closely with the Division Manager, you’ll help drive growth, efficiency, and quality throughout the division. Requirements

  • Previous experience in management or leadership roles (preferably within construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or residential services).
  • Strong understanding of management best practices and proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan, and assist in the management of the Huntsville, AL division’s daily operations.
  • Recruit, train, and manage both field and office staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee office and warehouse operations, including company vehicles and inventory management.
  • Monitor and evaluate division performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic changes.
  • Manage warehouse operations and oversee purchasing and inventory activities.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Supervise projects, managing Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and other key personnel.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team on buyouts and day-to-day purchasing needs.
  • Maintain and build relationships with utility and municipal inspection bureaus.
  • Support continued training and safety initiatives across the division.
  • Participate in occasional visits to corporate offices and education centers in Texas and Florida.
