About The Position

The Assistant District Attorney is responsible for managing a satellite office with little daily oversight. The attorney will prosecute all crimes varying in severity from traffic citations, drug crimes, violent crimes of all types, misdemeanors, and felonies alike. The attorney will be responsible for filing, prosecuting, and representing the State in all facets of the criminal case in Johnston County and occasionally in other counties. The attorney may advise county officials as requested and will handle all juvenile cases including deprived and delinquent cases. The attorney will work closely with other attorneys, staff, partner agencies, law enforcement, defense attorneys, and the bench.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association.
  • 1+ years of legal experience.
  • Prior prosecution experience preferred but not required.
