About The Position

The 18th Prosecutorial District for Pittsburg and Haskell Counties is seeking a fulltime Assistant District Attorney for the Pittsburg County Office to begin immediately. The McAlester Office at full capacity is a four-attorney office with 11 support staff. Caseload assignments will primarily be general felonies and property crimes, as well as the criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets, and is subject to change based on caseload and applicant’s interest and experience.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Oklahoma Bar Association.
• Prior prosecutorial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle caseload assignments primarily involving general felonies and property crimes.
• Manage criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets.
• Adapt to changes in caseload based on interest and experience.
