Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in an operations supervisory or management position
  • Ability to lift objects weighting 50 pounds
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period
  • The execution of an Employment Agreement

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining operations in all departments within the assigned distribution center
  • Directs and controls the staffing, training, merit review, discipline, and termination for distribution center personnel, in accordance with guidelines set forth by the DC Manager
  • Establishes and maintains standards of performance levels for all areas of the distribution center
  • Maintains programs for the distribution center’s housekeeping, equipment maintenance, safety, and security
  • Partners with the DC Manager to plan for process flow changes
  • Works with the internal IT team to implement technology changes within the distribution center
  • Manages the distribution center’s physical inventory
  • Ensures all packing requirements are met, including country of origin and standardized formatting
  • Works with project specialists and analysts to complete any projects pertinent to the operation of the distribution center
