What You’ll Do: As the Assistant Distribution Center Manager, you’ll help lead day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure our HVAC products move efficiently, accurately, and safely through our supply chain. You'll support our Distribution Center Manager in maintaining a high-functioning team, and you’ll step in to lead operations when needed. But more than that, your work ensures that HVAC contractors have what they need, when they need it, so they can serve homeowners and businesses with confidence and care. It is expected that the Assistant Distribution Center Manager will work a minimum of 42.5 hours per week in accordance with the standard department operating hours of 6:00am –6:30pm, Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3 years experience in a warehouse role
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory, lead, or management position
  • Current and Valid Driver’s License with at least 3 years of driving experience
  • No more than 3 moving traffic violations in the past 36 months.
  • 1 year forklift experience
  • 1 year experience using inventory/ERP tracking software and Point of Sale System (preferred)
  • 1 year experience driving a 26’ straight truck (preferred)
  • 3 years experience in a supervisory, lead, or management position (preferred)
  • CDL License/certification (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Meet physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The team member must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily outbound and inbound operations, ensuring shipments are inspected, received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently
  • Oversee picking and receiving process in ERP software
  • Manage customer delivery, pickup, and truck schedule
  • Manage third party shipping, UPS, LTL, Direct Link
  • Oversee E-Commerce sales and shipments
  • Assist with cycle counting
  • Manage put away of product
  • Implement and monitor procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the distribution team, supply chain team, and store teams to ensure inventory readiness for seamless order fulfillment.
  • Identify and resolve transfer discrepancies and picking/receiving errors and work with the DC Manager to improve.
  • Implement and monitor procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Communicate shortages with vendors.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine DC processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Creation of SOP’s
  • Ownership of 5S process and compliance
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and ACR safety guidelines.
  • Assist the Distribution Center Manager with leading the team members within its department.
