2nd Shift Assistant Dispatcher - Part Time

About The Position

The night shift dispatcher will take ownership of the dispatch process during the night shift. This will include printing shipping documents, contacting drivers via phone, email, or text with trailer assignment, assisting drivers with additional pick up stops as needed, and assisting drivers with contacting approved vendors for any trailer related issues e.g. flat tire or mechanical issue. The ideal candidate must be able to perform work in a fast paced environment while maintaining composer and a can do attitude.

Requirements

High School Diploma
3+ years’ experience at an asset-based carrier, 3PL, brokerage firm, or comparable transportation operations experience
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

College Degree
Experience with Roadnet/Omnitracs One software

Responsibilities

Dispatch tailer assignments to Owner Operators daily on 140+ routes during peak shipping season
Ensure all shipping and driver documents are printed and provided to appropriate parties
Maintain driver assignments and re-power routes as issue arise.
Monitor driver activity for proper execution of delivery routes
Provide updates to customers on driver location
Assist drivers with trailer breakdowns
Schedule delivery appointments
General office duties
Will require extended work hours and work on weekends during peak times
Other duties as assigned by management
