About The Position

The Assistant Dispatch Supervisor at DO & CO is responsible for overseeing the dispatch operations, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to international clients. This role involves coordinating transportation activities, supervising a team of drivers, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The position is integral to supporting the company's commitment to excellence in hospitality and culinary services.

Requirements

• Min. 3-5 years of work experience as a dispatcher
• Excellent planning and coordination skills
• Team leader qualities and outstanding communication skills

• Excellent computer skills (especially Excel)

Responsibilities

• Support in serving DO & CO's high-end products to hundreds of international guests
• Coordinate transportation of high-quality products between production site and O'Hare Airport
• Ensure on-time delivery of products, goods, and services
• Direct activities related to dispatching trucks, routing, and tracking vehicles
• Plan, forecast, schedule, and communicate transportation activities
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations, supply chain management
• Receive important incoming calls/information from airline clients and the airport and communicate it to respective departments
• Supervise and motivate a large team of drivers and ramp safety agents
• Monitor operations to ensure staff complies with policies and procedures, safety rules, airport regulations
• Assist transportation manager with airport badging and completion of documents
• Supervise the dispatch department and provide solutions to the team
• Handle any special projects assigned by the transportation manager
