The Assistant Director of Vocational provides supervision, oversight, and management for The Arc Gloucester’s Day Programs and several Family Support Services (FSS) programs. The role supports the mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to achieve their highest potential through advocacy, education, and quality services. The day and FSS programs focus on developing quality programming and growth in scope to meet community needs. This is an exempt position with typical work hours Monday-Friday, daytime, but requires availability for emergency and on-call coverage beyond regular hours. The position reports to the CEO and supervises Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, and Direct Support Professionals. The role is expected to grow, initially focusing on expanding, innovating, and diversifying opportunities across 4+ day programs and community-based programs, empowering staff, and supporting changes in Supported Employment - Small Group (Crew Labor) and other vocational opportunities. Successful completion of these initiatives is expected to lead to growth in scope and leadership.
