Assistant Director
About The Position
The Assistant Director, under the supervision of the Program Director, is responsible for supervising staff within an adult psychiatric acute residential treatment program. Key functions include managing the flow of clients, promoting the philosophy of social rehabilitation, and maintaining relationships with referral sources. The role also involves administrative duties such as reviewing client records, assisting with staff training, coordinating schedules, and collecting client data. Additionally, the Assistant Director is expected to advocate for and participate in facility maintenance and perform Counselor duties as needed.
Requirements
- Submit to a fingerprint check and health screening exam in order to obtain clearance from the State Dept. of Social Services, Community Care Licensing
- Verification of previous employment and education

Responsibilities
- Supervise staff of this adult psychiatric acute residential treatment program
- Manage the flow of clients into and out of the program
- Promote the philosophy of social rehabilitation as it applies to residential treatment
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with client referral sources and other related mental health programs
- Review all charts and client records
- Assist in staff training
- Coordinate the staff schedule
- Coordinate the collection of client data
- Maintain computer requirements of the County of Marin Community Behavioral Health Services
- Advocate for and participate in the maintenance of the facility
- Perform all duties of the Counselor position as necessary and appropriate
