Babilou Family US is thrilled to announce the opening of our next early childhood education school in Cambridge, MA, launching in Fall 2026. Our new school will be located in the heart of Harvard’s Enterprise Research Center (ERC), One Milestone—placing high-quality early learning at the center of a world-renowned innovation district. This unique location brings together leading minds in biotech, life sciences, technology, and academia, creating an inspiring environment where research, industry, and early childhood education intersect. Designed to support children’s curiosity, development, and lifelong love of learning, the school will also serve as a vital resource for families working and innovating in the ERC community. Babilou Family US currently operates three school brands across New England: Heartworks, Building Blocks, and Little Sprouts. Our schools are part of a global, mission-driven early education organization dedicated to supporting the emotional and cognitive development of children in their earliest years. This new school on the Harvard Campus will be the latest addition to our school family and serve as our flagship location. Babilou Family US is seeking an inspiring Assistant School Director to help lead our flagship school opening in Fall 2026 at Harvard’s Enterprise Research Center (ERC) in Cambridge, MA. Situated at the heart of a world-renowned innovation district, this role offers the rare opportunity to help shape a visionary early learning program that supports children’s curiosity, fosters lifelong learning, and serves as a cornerstone for families and the ERC community. The School Assistant Director will partner with the School Director to guide the school’s strategic vision, cultivate high-impact community partnerships, and assist in overseeing budget, EEC compliance, enrollment, staffing, and team development, ensuring high levels of staff and student engagement and retention. This role is responsible for assisting in cultivating a culture of excellence that advances the future of early childhood education at Babilou Family US. Salary Range: $65,000 to $72,000 per year +bonus eligibility/per year for EEC Director II Qualified Candidates. This location operates year-round, Monday–Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM Operating hours are subject to change.

Requirements

  • Must pass required state and company background checks.
  • Must have Director EEC Certification (DII qualification).
  • 5-10 years of experience in early childhood education or classroom management.
  • Strong understanding of play-based learning and social-emotional development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to kindness, respect, and community engagement.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Adhere to all company policies and EEC regulations.
  • Ability to stand, move, run, and play for most of the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day.
