About The Position

The Assistant Director, Student Engagement and Success at Pepperdine University is responsible for enhancing the student life experience at the Graziadio Business School through program development, event management, and support for student organizations. Requirements

  • Experience in student organization administration and advising student leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex events and communicate effectively with vendors and campus partners.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills.

  • Graduate degree in education, counseling, or a relevant field.
  • Four or more years of experience in a student affairs role serving diverse populations.
  • Experience in hiring, recruiting, and supervising student employees.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods for assessing learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of student-led clubs and organizations, providing support and training to student leaders.
  • Develop and implement student leader training programs aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Advise student leaders on event planning, risk management, and university policies.
  • Manage the student organization calendar and registration processes.
  • Serve as co-advisor for the Graziadio Student Advisory Board.
  • Provide administrative oversight for the Student Activity Fee budget and related expenses.
  • Coordinate and execute SES events, including new student orientation and Welcome Week.
  • Collaborate with university partners to develop and implement student programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to determine program effectiveness and achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain confidentiality of student information.
