About The Position

Student and Campus Life (SCL) at Cornell University is dedicated to inspiring transformation in all students through their individual, academic, and personal journeys. The division comprises leading student affairs experts who address pressing student life matters, including public service, health, wellness, social justice, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities. SCL supports approximately 25,000 students across multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad. The Office of Housing and Residential Life (HRL) is committed to providing a high-quality residential experience, fostering personal growth, critical thinking, and social responsibility among students. The HRL program includes various housing options and a two-year residential requirement for about 8,000 students. The department is currently undergoing significant organizational transformation and is seeking four Assistant Director positions in Residential Life, each requiring separate applications. The Assistant Director of Staff Selection & Development will report to the Associate Director and will be responsible for managing student staff selection and development processes, supervising staff, and supporting financial management and operational planning. This is a full-time, 12-month position with a salary range of $78,500 - $81,000.
