About The Position

The Provider Network Services (PNS) Assistant Director (AD) plays a crucial leadership role within the PNS department at Conway Medical Center. This position requires collaboration with Physicians, the Service Line Director, and Medical Practice Staff to ensure the effective operation of designated practices. The AD is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and facilitating the performance improvement process, focusing on enhancing patient, employee, and physician satisfaction, as well as ensuring clinical quality and operational efficiency. The role involves assisting the Service Line Director in implementing quality, safety, and experience requirements to meet operational goals. Additionally, the AD is accountable for contributing to the overall development, strategic visioning, and operational performance of the service line. In this leadership capacity, the AD will oversee various aspects of medical practice management, including office coding, billing, collections, patient service design, employee management and training, compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, risk management, and policy and procedure management. The AD will also manage medical record administration, address technical issues related to information technology, resolve physical office issues, and handle physician-related concerns. A key responsibility is to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care pathways, making necessary modifications and acting as a liaison with outside care providers and referral sources when required. The AD is expected to provide exemplary customer service in all interactions and work collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, department heads, and executive leadership. Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in technology and PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is required. The AD must exercise independent judgment and maintain professionalism in all situations, ensuring that all coding, billing, and claims submission processes are performed accurately and honestly to retain only those funds to which the organization is legally entitled.
