Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of the laws and regulations of the Trust industry and securities processing, in addition to knowledge of fiduciary laws and regulations
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize and delegate
  • Coach and develop personnel, elevate senior staff
  • Strong integrity and candor
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • 10-15 years Securities processing and trust banking or brokerage industry
  • 7-10 years Management role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the company’s action plan for profitable growth by providing strong management and effective leadership, and by implementing changes that contribute to operational efficiencies.
  • Mitigate risk to the association by identifying and resolving complex problems including potential client service, legal and regulatory issues.
  • Proactively manage custodian and third-party vendor relationships and ensure high quality service to both internal and external clients.
  • Organize special project involvement/ownership (e.g. Separately Managed Accounts, line item maintenance, various internal reporting requirements, tax reporting, etc.)
  • Conduct monthly team meetings and one-on-ones; provide ongoing training and development and assess/communicate performance results.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare for and serve as the primary contact during internal audits and examinations and ensure satisfactory ratings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, industry changes and best-practices.
