The Assistant Director for the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships (OPP) Strategy at the Vice President for Resource Development will play a crucial role in managing relationships with prospects and donors, particularly focusing on high-capacity non-alumni and corporate prospects. This position requires a strategic approach to fundraising, where the Assistant Director will implement and adapt strategies tailored to priority regions and specific prospects. Collaboration is key, as the Assistant Director will work closely with the Prospect Development team to track the fundraising pipeline and ensure that the portfolios of fundraisers align with the overall strategic plan of the organization. In addition to managing donor relationships, the Assistant Director will collaborate with the Executive Director and the Director of Operations and Strategy to manage and execute various Presidential projects. This role also involves working alongside the Associate Director of Operations and the OPP Communications team to coordinate and co-manage overlapping work, ensuring that all efforts are aligned and effectively communicated. The Assistant Director will be expected to bring a high level of professionalism and strategic insight to the role, contributing to the overall success of the fundraising initiatives at the Institute. This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work, and requires a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of MIT's Advancement priorities.
