About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness (RN) to join our team in Newark, DE. This full-time, salary-exempt position offers a starting pay of $105,000 per year. The Assistant Director of Wellness will play an integral role in the Leadership Team, managing the day-to-day operations of the Wellness component of the community to ensure the maximum levels of resident functional ability, safety, and wellbeing. We are looking for candidates who have a compassionate heart, a positive attitude, and strong leadership skills.

Requirements

• RN (Required)
• BLS Certification (Preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Perfect physical condition and stamina

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous, ongoing supervision of all wellness department team members, including but not limited to recruiting, retaining, training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling and evaluating; establishes and builds rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork.
• Observe patients/residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.; Monitor and record vital signs; Administers prescribed medications, injections, wound care, collect lab samples and other basic medical care tasks; Provides assistance as necessary with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates and implements regularly scheduled wellness meetings; ensures compliance of Wellness Department relative to federal, state, local and company regulations and policies.
• Maintain liaison role by ensuring effective communication with other members of the team, residents, families and medical professionals.
• Responsible for reporting on operation of Wellness Department to ensure continuity of care; keeping department on budget within established guidelines and submits recommendations for budget completion, equipment and supplies.
