About The Position
Sangamon County is seeking interested and qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of the Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance. The Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance (LLWA) is focused on creating collaborative responses between education and workforce development to meet local and regional workforce challenges. Sangamon County, as the fiscal agent for Local Workforce Innovation Area 20 (LWIA 20), is seeking an Assistant Director to work with the federally-funded Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the five county LWA 20 area (Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, and Menard counties in Central Illinois). The Assistant Director works under the leadership of the Executive Director and the Workforce Board. The position reports to the Executive Director and is governed by the Sangamon County employment policies.
