Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Assistant Director of Student Services has the primary responsibility to assist in creating, coordinating and delivering comprehensive Student Affairs initiatives that support a dynamic and diverse student population at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI). The Assistant Director of Student Services will offer support with Student Accessibility Services; serving students, faculty, and staff to ensure students registered with Student Accessibility Services receive appropriate accommodations, timely communication, appropriate training, and a high level of service. In collaboration with the Dean of Students, the Assistant Director of Student Services will ensure the wellness of the student body. In addition, the Assistant Director of Student Services will be responsible for planning events, creating and implementing the student leadership budgets, and hiring and managing peer tutors. Assistant Director of Student Services will also create large scale institutional events to support students with their onboarding and offboarding (commencement). The Assistant Director of Student Services will also provide additional support through administrative operations, workshop planning, conduct one on one meetings with students, and provide guidance and support to student clubs.
