About The Position
The Assistant Supervisor of Special Education and Related Services, under the supervision/direction of the Special Education Director, shall be responsible for assisting with the supervision of the Special Education services of the district, managing all federal and state budgets associated with this area, and directing all related activities in this area.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, coordination, and supervision the district’s Special Education Program and its related services.
- Assist in the development, supervision, and coordination of federal accounting for Special Educational services: Title VI-B, Catastrophic Reimbursement, Medicaid Reimbursement, ARMAC Reimbursement, and Personal Care Reimbursement.
- Assist in the coordination and facilitation of staff development for the Special Education Department.
- Assist in the coordination of Early Childhood Transition.
- Assist in the coordination of Site-Based Mental Health Referrals.
- Assist in the supervision Behavior Intervention Services.
- Assist in the coordination of Special Health Care/Personal Health Care.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of community partnerships.
- Assist in providing consultative services and staff development to general education staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
