About The Position

As a member of the agency's management team, the Assistant Director will provide leadership, supervision, and daily management of all assigned programs utilizing a team-based, multidisciplinary approach per the Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC) philosophy, mission, and vision.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Human Services related field or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • 5 years' experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, required.
  • 5-7 years proven administrative and/or supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Program Development Experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, administrative and managerial and communication skills.
  • Must maintain all required certifications and licenses in a required status.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a proven history of good judgement.
  • Must be self-directed, able to set priorities and work without direct supervision.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Shared Living Case Managers to ensure program compliance and information sharing.
  • In collaboration with Shared Living Program Director maintain program compliance with all applicable state funding agencies and certification regulations and requirements as well as quality service standards.
  • Maintain program compliance with KDC's mission, philosophy, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • In collaboration with Shared Living Program Director monitor all personnel activities, including hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of program employees and Shared Living providers.
  • Facilitate team meetings.
  • In collaboration with Shared Living Program Director monitor completion and maintenance of documentation as required by KDC and all applicable funding agencies: Incidents Reporting and Risk Management.
  • In collaboration with Shared Living Program Director monitoring Shared Living budget.
  • In collaboration with Shared Living Program Director ensure regulatory compliance of all new shared living placements within the regulation timeline.
  • Manage on-going relationships with area directors of DDS and other funding sources to ensure positive interactions with KDC.
  • Attending internal and external meetings as needed.
  • Facilitate a team-based approach to program supports and services.
  • Maintain Program Compliance and Facilitate quarterly HRC meetings.
  • Training New staff and onboarding New Hires.
  • Represent KDC with professionalism at agency functions, legislative and industry events.
  • Coordinate and participate in community Education, fundraising and education activities on behalf of KDC.
  • Provide emergency phone coverage as assigned.
  • Other responsibilities as requested by Shared Living Program Director.
