  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Revenue Cycle Director in achieving financial objectives and strategies on a day-to-day basis.
  • Gather, analyze, and evaluate the results of billing operations regularly, adjusting performance needs and sharing insights with the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Oversee Month-End reconciliations and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance of billing and coding practices with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
  • Serve as a leader to support, empower, and educate the team on best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training for quality improvement and stay updated on State, Federal, and Managed Care regulations, implementing necessary changes.
  • Interpret and enforce Revenue Cycle policies and procedures.
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, including writing and testing policies and procedures, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Take responsibility for the Revenue Cycle team in the absence of the Director.
  • Make recommendations for staffing models that serve the team.
  • Ensure productivity of revenue cycle department teams with updated processes, methods, guidelines, policies, and best practices.
  • Design, communicate, and implement new approaches to reporting, policies, and SOPs to increase reporting accuracy and influence continuous improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure responsibilities of RC teams are managed and functioning properly.
  • Communicate with the Director on trends/issues in the AR that impact financials, such as AR balances and potential negative impacts on cash flow.
