About The Position

The Assistant Program Director at Riverside Community Care plays a crucial role in overseeing residential programs that support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and brain injuries. This position involves ensuring that services align with the organization's mission and comply with DDS requirements. The Assistant Director will supervise residential programs and provide coverage in the absence of the Program Director, fostering a safe and supportive environment for residents.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to make effective public presentations.
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least four years of residential experience, including two years in a supervisory and management capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in budget management, program development, and personnel management.
  • Current training/certification in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration (MAP), HIV/AIDS, and Infection Control, or willingness to obtain within designated timelines.

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise residential programs and ensure compliance with Riverside's Mission Statement and policies.
  • Provide coverage for the cluster in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Support residents in daily living skills and community participation.
  • Manage transportation for medical appointments and assist with financial management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Residential Services to enhance program effectiveness.
