About The Position

As the Assistant Director of Rehab - Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation team by assisting in the delivery of quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes according to PT Board requirements. Assist in maintaining the rehabilitation department and its facilities. Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Help clean and maintain treatment areas to ensure a safe environment. Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the physician. Assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, issues, and treatment plans. Participate in in-service training programs for other staff members in the facility. Record treatment changes in accordance with policies and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and provide caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it is maintained in good working order. Relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues. Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License.
