The Assistant Director of Program Operations at the University of Washington's School of Social Work is responsible for providing operational leadership for the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP). This role involves strategic decision-making to support the program's goals, managing the administrative team, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. The Assistant Director will also develop and implement improvements to processes and procedures, supervise staff, and maintain relationships with various stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.

  • Manage the coordination of recruitment events for BASW and MSW students.
  • Supervise the maintenance of documentation and correspondence to ensure compliance with UW, state, and federal policies.
  • Support the operational aspects of MSW and BASW programs, including training administrative staff in customer service and quality control.
  • Monitor student support, program, and facility operations.
  • Communicate with external partners to provide necessary data for CWTAP Educational Assistance/Admissions/Quarterly Reports.
  • Create and supervise the completion of quarterly reports for CWTAP MSW and BASW students.
  • Act as a liaison and trainer for all software implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Supervise the Manager of Program Operations and Program Coordinators.
  • Train, coach, direct, and support staff, design performance goals, and complete performance reviews.
  • Lead the hiring process for new administrative staff.
  • Assist the CWTAP Associate Director with various tasks.
  • Develop and manage the CWTAP recruitment process, including information sessions and application workshops.
  • Develop and manage strategic communication plans for the CWTAP, including website and social media management.
  • Collaborate with the SSW Program Operational Specialist regarding CWTAP fiscal matters and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in UW administrative, student services, and fiscal systems.
  • Substantial knowledge of UW policies and procedures.
  • Experience with UW, state, and federal compliance policies.
  • Demonstrated experience with program planning and management for students.
  • Experience recruiting BASW and MSW students and creating recruitment materials.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience using UW systems Student Database (SDB).
  • Experience with Zoom, Adobe, Canvas, Workday.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of CWTAP Operational/Administrative roles.
  • 10 years + of experience with the CWTAP Seattle Program.
  • 10 years + of experience in UW administrative, student services, and fiscal systems.
  • Experience supporting BASW/Master of Social Work students.
  • Experience reconciling budgets.
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of DCYF.
