Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent.
  • Four years of HR related experience in a union hotel environment.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing, administering and communicating pertinent information regarding all Human Resources functions including recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit administration, colleague engagement, labor relations and contract compliance, performance evaluations, workers compensation and safety, employment processes and general leadership guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; updates HR policies and practices to reflect legal and regulatory changes.
  • Build a positive work environment for all IHG colleagues throughout their career with us - from onboarding, to training and promotions, through to exit.
  • Lead, educate and train the wider team on people issues and HR disciplines to enhance performance.
  • Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide our hotel guests with unique experiences.
  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the Human Resources Department.
  • Enhance our hotels' reputation in the local community and beyond, and promote team member involvement in the local community.
  • Oversee colleague engagement programs.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings for leadership development.
