Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider dedicated to serving older adults, is seeking a compassionate and career-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing at our Cedarhurst of Woodstock community. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to our residents in compliance with both regulatory standards and organizational goals. Your contributions will significantly impact the lives of our residents, as you will assist in defining and maintaining nursing practice standards within the community, and take on the responsibilities of the Director of Nursing in their absence. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be involved in the oversight of medication administration, treatments, and general nursing services according to each resident's care plan and physician directives. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining in-service education programs for nursing staff, conducting daily rounds to monitor care delivery, and participating in the management team to influence planning and policy formation. Your responsibilities will include assessing residents for appropriate levels of care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring effective communication regarding resident health and safety. In addition to clinical oversight, you will assist in maintaining relationships with pharmacies and the community to ensure timely medication delivery and address any concerns. You will also be responsible for supervising nursing staff, conducting interviews, hiring, training, and retaining a high-performing care team. Your role will emphasize promoting the physical, personal, and emotional well-being of each resident, striving to help them achieve their maximum level of self-care and independence.
