About The Position

White Oak of Shelby is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position. The ADON will help oversee the nursing department for their skilled nursing facility, which includes a long-term care and a dedicated rehab wing. The center is located at 401 North Morgan Street, Shelby. The position is full-time and salaried. White Oak of Shelby offers excellent staffing ratios, a strong team of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and corporate nursing consultants to ensure success. Nurse managers provide consistent and valuable support for the Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate should be flexible, innovative, and possess strong leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and organizational skills, and must relate professionally with residents, staff, family members, referral sources, physicians, and vendors.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and work well with others
• RN and/or a minimum of three years experience in a supervisory capacity
• Long term care and supervisory experience required
• Knowledgeable in the interpretation of Federal, State, and local regulations relating to long-term care facilities

Responsibilities

• Helps to oversee the nursing department for the skilled nursing facility with a long term care and dedicated rehab wing
• Assists in coordinating and managing overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory bodies
• Relate professionally with residents, staff, family members, referral sources, physicians, and vendors
